This contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) is open to all persons over the age of eighteen (18) who meet the requirements specified in these terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms and Conditions”), which will be available to the participant at all times so that they may consult them in advance.
The contest consists of two phases, the registration phase, for which users will register on the platform and create a virtual portfolio with 4 to 6 blockchain projects, which they can modify until the end of this phase. The start and end dates of the registration phase, usually with a duration of 2 weeks, are clearly displayed on the contest's website.
Immediately after the registration phase, the contest phase begins, when no more participants will be accepted and users will no longer be able to modify their virtual wallets. The start and end dates of the contest phase, usually lasting 2 weeks, are displayed on the contest’s website.
Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Once the contest phase begins, the Crypto Birds platform will take the starting prices of all the projects chosen by the contestants. At the end of the competition phase, the final prices of all the projects chosen by the contestants will be recorded. The platform will automatically calculate the performance obtained by each contestant's virtual portfolio, taking the initial and final prices as well as the distribution of the weight of each project within the competing virtual portfolios.
Following the end of the contest phase, the performance of the competing virtual portfolios will be calculated and ranked from highest to lowest performance for the classification of the winning portfolios. A manual review phase will then begin, where the Crypto Birds team will verify that all the winners have complied with the rules and that there have been no technical errors in the data collection process carried out by the Crypto Birds platform.
Once the manual review phase has been completed, the winners of the contest will be announced on Crypto Birds' social networks, a countdown will then be started on the platform's dashboard, indicating when the prizes can be claimed.
The following types of projects will not be eligible for the creation of virtual portfolios:
In addition, in order for a project to be selected, it must pass the following filters in order to ensure that its market is not easily manipulated:
Furthermore, there are projects where several versions of their token/cryptoasset coexist on the market, where it is clearly stated by the project that the valid version is the most recent one. If contestants choose an obsolete version of a cryptoasset, either by mistake or intentionally, at the end of the contest, during the manual review phase, the Crypto Birds team will be able to change the obsolete cryptoasset for the latest valid version.
Prizes vary from contest to contest and are stated clearly on the contest website. Prizes are usually awarded to the top 25 virtual portfolios, in addition to a number of special prizes.
The type of prize may vary depending on the contest, but the prize will usually consist of a large discount when purchasing either the “XCB” platform incentive token or the user level NFTs from Crypto Birds Platform S.L.
The prizes are deposited in a smart contract developed by Crypto Birds, once the contest is over, the addresses of the winning contestants' wallets and the prizes awarded will be automatically entered into the smart contract. It is up to the winning user to connect their wallet (using the address linked to the platform user) to the smart contract via the platform and claim the prize.
AWhen claiming the prize, the user must make a small payment (a commission for executing the smart contract), this payment will be considered as the purchase price of the amount of crypto-asset received, that is why, for tax purposes, it is considered that the user receives the crypto-asset with a big discount as a prize.
The user will have 3 months to claim their prize, after which time any unclaimed prize will be “burnt” (destroyed).
